Effective Monday, October 12, 2020, rules from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) apply to indoor visitation at facilities such as assisted living and nursing homes.
The ODH order can be found here and provides a comprehensive framework of requirements to be followed in everything from the advance scheduling of visits, screening of visitors for COVID-19, assuring that social distancing can be facilitated and cleanliness maintained. Visits are limited to a maximum of two (2) visitors and thirty (30) minutes. The order also requires facility providers to regularly report visitation information on-line. The order itself should be thoroughly understood to assure full compliance.
