Daniel S. Burley is a partner in Weston Hurd’s Education Law Group. Dan regularly provides counsel to school administrators regarding day-to-day employment matters and labor relations, employee discipline, public records issues, student records issues, and board policies. Dan negotiates and drafts a wide range of agreements for boards of education, including employment contracts, vendor services agreements, purchase agreements, and construction contracts. He represents boards of education in litigation and dispute resolution, including labor grievances and real property tax disputes. Dan also has considerable experience advising school district-sponsored health plans on regulatory and compliance matters, including the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and HIPAA.
