For more than 30 years, Robert A. Poklar has represented automobile, RV, boat and motorcycle dealers and other businesses in matters involving advertising, aftermarket products/services, buy/sell, consumer litigation/issues, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, dealer relocations, employment issues, finance, franchisor-franchisee disputes, first refusal, governmental compliance and regulatory issues, insurance, lemon law, warranty audits, and working capital and floor plan issues. He has developed and presented numerous seminars on business-related issues such as regulatory compliance, Truth-in-Lending and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. He has tried complex and class action litigation. Since 1982, Bob has published a monthly newsletter, “You Auto Know,” which discusses current legal topics. In June 2017, Bob provided a legal update presentation to the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers Association on topics including franchise protection standards, facility renovations, FTC used car buyer’s guide update, warranty compensation, warranty chargeback protection, succession performance standards, manufacturer/dealer litigation and relocation protests.
